On May 24, newly appointed Hungarian Ambassador to Armenia Shandor Sabo presented the copies of his credentials to RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, Deputy Minister Mnatsakanyan mentioned with satisfaction that notable progress had been made in the Armenian-Hungarian relations over the past couple of years. In 2009, the President of Armenia paid a state visit to Hungary. Several agreements on cooperation were signed and the first Armenian-Hungarian business forum was held during the visit.

Expressing gratitude for the good wishes, Ambassador Sabo assured that he would do his best to further strengthen the bilateral partnership.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan mentioned that the cooperation between Armenia and Hungary provide good opportunities for the EU Eastern Partnership Plan.

The interlocutors exchanged views on several issues on the regional and international agenda, reports the MFA press service.
