Garnik Margaryan: "It is immoral"
The Fatherland and Honor Party is not going to leave the ranks of the Armenian National Congress (HAK).
"By quitting the opposition alliance we shall betray our principles. It is really immoral to leave this structure," leader of the party, Garnik Margaryan, told A1+.
He did not want to comment on the decision of the political forces that had withdrawn from the bloc. Nor did he want to cite any reasons behind their decision.
"Each of us is free to decide his place and role," he said.
Mr. Margaryan is going to present to HAK Leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan a number of proposals in the coming days.
"It is necessary that we mobilize the forces that are not aligned with the HAK and are honest in their activities. We should lead them to a nationwide revolt," he said.
The HAK representative thinks the bloc should relinquish its seven mandates since ‘seven seats are too little to achieve any results in the National Assembly.' He also excludes that the bloc might unite with other parliamentary groups.
Mr. Margaryan believes that the HAK should continue to call for early presidential elections.
"The earlier we get rid of the [Serzh] Sargsyan administration, the better for our people," he said.
