Gagik Jhangiryan on those who left HAK ranks
Armenia's ex-military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan regrets that the political forces affiliated with the Armenian National Congress (HAK) are leaving the opposition alliance one after another.
In particular, Mr. Jhangiryan does not understand the behavior of the Liberal and Hanrapetutyun (Republic) parties but he respects their decision and hopes in the future they will take right decisions.
"Let's not turn it into a tragedy; this is a mere political struggle," he said adding that the opposition blog will not weaken after the withdrawal of Aram Sargsyan [Hanrapetutyun party] and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan [Liberal party].
The HAK official says the society has become more oppositional and ‘time has shown that the regime is incapable of implementing structural reforms.'
"HAK has become an indispensable part of the society. The loss of individuals cannot lead to other [political] losses," he stressed.
The pre-election developments in the autumn will show that HAK has not sustained great losses. On the contrary, we are going to replenish our ranks. Besides, TV companies will no longer close doors for the HAK parliamentary faction," he concluded.
