HAK member: “BHK is hostage”
The Democratic Homeland Party is not going to withdraw from the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK).
"We believe that the HAK possesses the resource and the potential to better the situation in the country," says Petros Makeyan, Chairman of the Democratic Homeland.
The HAK member accounts the disagreements in the opposition alliance for the rigged parliamentary elections. At the same time, he does not rule out that the political forces that have quitted the ranks of HAK will seek new ways of cooperation with the bloc.
Mr. Makeyan says HAK should continue its street protests otherwise it will not be able to solve any issues in the National Assembly with its seven mandates.
Speaking about the post-election developments, specifically the possible coalition between the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Petros Makeyan said the BHK has no other alternative.
"BHK is a hostage: I do not imagine the party in some other area," he said.
