Soldier dies during training exercise
Armen Harutyunyan, a 19-year-old citizen of Armenia's Gyumri city, was buried on May 20. Armen, who was drafted into the army in December 2011, reportedly died three days ago in one of the military units near Karabakh's Hadrut region. However, there is no official report available to this moment.
Armen's relatives say that the boy died when performing training exercises with grenades. A live grenade exploded in a training exercise, killing Armen.
The medical document (N 206091545818, 18.05.2012) confirming the soldier's death says Armen died of injuries incompatible with life inflicted on his face, neck, chest and abdomen.
The document was signed by Physician H. F. Melkonian who said the cause of death is uncertain.
