Stepan Poghosyan passes away at 80
Stepan Poghosyan a renowned scientist and TV personality, passed away at the age of 80.
He headed the state committee on television and radio for more than 18 years. Stepan Karpovich, as he was called by his friends, held various government positions in the Soviet Armenia. He was the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia and member of the Soviet Union Communist Party Central Committee.
