Heritage: "Such kind of feats should anchor pride"
The Heritage party has issued a statement, congratulating the Armenians on the triple holiday of May 9.
"On May 9, Armenian people celebrated their biggest victories of the 20th century. The Armenians, exhausted by bloodsheds at the century's beginning, bravely resisted the battle of Sardarapat and were able to neutralize the enemy's threat, straining their last efforts. During the Greta Patriotic War Armenians not only showed heroism and self-sacrifice, but also got rid of the skepticism towards its own forces. About 2 and a half million Armenians living in the Soviet period sent some 650 000 brave soldiers to the frontline.
Such kind of feats should anchor pride and a high sense of responsibility, rather than vanity. They should breed responsibility, especially for protecting the victorious gains achieved by our fearless sons in the Artsakh battle. The liberation of Shushi was yet another flash of the Armenian spirit," reads the message.
Congratulating the Armenians once again on the great victories, the party wishes the nation robust health and welfare, and a willingness to overcome the mutual intolerance in order to foster and eternalize the nation's victories and pave way to new achievements.
