Impeachment postponed
The deputies of Iran's Mejlis have changed their decision on starting the process of impeaching President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad.
On May 8, Chairman of the Parliament of Iran Ali Larijani declared that the President's term in office ends next summer and that is why the issue of impeachment will be postponed, reports MehrNews.
The Mejlis Chairman added that if necessary, the Mejlis will introduce the issue of the President's resignation in the next Mejlis.
We remind that recently Iranian lawmakers invited Iran's President to the Mejlis and complained about his political course, the economic crisis, the gap in the budget, the country's isolation, the fall of the national currency, the reduction of oil production and allowing the country to face a threat of war.
However, Mahmud Ahmadinezhad "didn't give a serious response to any question and simply made offensive remarks about their behavior and made needless jokes", reports the source.
