There were ridiculous violations on May 6
The "Choice is Yours" observation mission says the May 6 NA elections were held in a peaceful and balanced atmosphere, but there were also violations.
"If the authorities consistently show the political will and fix the flaws of our concern, the people and the political parties will have enough potential to register more progress in the upcoming presidential elections," said press secretary for the "Choice is Yours" NGO Hasmik Sargsyan.
Four thousand observers followed the parliamentary elections and visited 1,975 polling stations of all 41 precincts. The observers of the organization view some violations as ridiculous.
"The member of the electoral commission at polling station N 6/17 in Ajapnyak district pretended to stamp the voting envelopes at 8 a.m., but he did it without taking the lid off. This means that this was an imitation," said Head of the "Choice is Yours" NGO Harutyun Hambardzmyan.
Could the recorded electoral violations have an impact on the results of the vote? In response, Harutyun Hambardzumyan said: "If we take and view the relationship between the polling stations and the stations that registered violations in terms of percentages, we won't see a figure that will allow us to declare that they had an impact on the results."
