President leaving, Long Live the President
Today, May 6 is the last working day for Dmitri Medvedev as President of the Russian Federation and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Despite that, it is a normal day for Medvedev. He has already managed to send two high commanders, Admiral Vladimir Visotsky and Chief Commander of Military Aviation Alexander Zelin away on pension, reports the Kremlin's press service.
Tomorrow will be Vladimir Putin's oath ceremony.
The protocol hasn't undergone any changes in Russia over the past couple of years.
Russian presses say it will be "quite easy for Putin" since he has given an oath twice already, the first time in 2000 when he was elected President and the second time in 2008 when he was handing the state emblems to the new President, Dmitri Medvedev.
