“Large-scale machination”

Politics

Statement of headquarters

The United Inter-party Headquarters Public Control of the Elections calls the attention of RA state bodies and international observers to the strictly troubling fact that an initially well-organized and large-scale machination has been taking place during the NA elections since 8 a.m. The stamp in voters' passports that should remain in the passports for 12 hours as established by the law, disappears in a matter of minutes.

The fact that a large number of citizens were being brought to the polling stations and large numbers of voters were being registered at the polling stations in the first two hours of the vote also goes to show that this was organized in advance. There have also been cases of assaults against proxies, open votes and cases impeding the normal process.

The unified election headquarters that brings together the 3 political parties collaborating for public control over the legitimacy of the elections, including Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D), views the current situation as a process that will put the legitimacy of the elections at risk. We call on voters' active participation in the elections, which will allow reducing the number of possible electoral violations.
