Railway to "Zvartnots" to be built
A railway to "Zvartnots" International Airport will be built. A corresponding Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by the Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan, Director General of the South Caucasian Railway CJSC Victor Rebets and Chief Executive Officer of the "Armenia" International Airport CJSC Marcelo Vende.
The railway will stretch 7,800 meters, a 810-meter-lomg railway tunnel will be built. The implementation of the project will allow linking the passenger terminal of "Zvartnots" Airport to the "Charbakh" station of the Yerevan subway, and the cargo terminal to "Karmir Blur" station of the South Caucasian Railway CJSC.
