The Union of Political Scientists will host the fifth plenary session of the joint inter-party electoral (or public) headquarters. The meeting will start at 11:00 p.m. at the union-run POLITLOGOS situation analysis and political forecast club.

The participants will sum up the activity of the electoral headquarters which is tasked to ensure public control in Sunday's parliamentary elections and discuss the possibility of satisfying an election-related appeal filed by the headquarters.

In April, the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation -Dashnaktsutyun submitted an appeal to the Constitutional Court demanding that electoral authorities publish the lists of voters who will have cast their ballots during the May 6 vote.

The sitting will be chaired by Hmayak Hovhannisyan, chairman of the Union of Political Scientist.

Since January 2012, the Union of Political Scientists has been organizing a series of political hearings on the public supervision of the parliamentary elections at the POLITLOGOS club.

As a result of eleven meetings, on April 4, at the central office of the Political Scientists Union, four political forces - the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation- Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Heritage Party signed a declaration on forming inter-party electoral headquarters. However, the Heritage party later withdrew from the headquarters, demanding that the leaders of the aforesaid parties put their signatures under the document.
