They pay AMD 20 000 to sauna owners, and 5000 to voters
Yesterday evening, the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) held a campaign rally with residents of Gyumri in the city's Theatrical Square, which was followed by an argument among the rally attendees.
When former premier Hrant Bagratyan was criticizing the acting authorities, an elderly man shouted from the crowd, "You had better keep silence as you brought them to power."
"If you really are a man of principle, why didn't you say the same thing during a meeting with Serzh [Sargsyan]?" people standing nearby retorted.
This surprised the ‘angered' man who said, "But was I allowed? They brought people with them from Yerevan."
Talking to A1+, the residents confirmed that they were few locals during the April 28 meeting with Serzh Sargsyan's Republican Party of Armenia (HHK).
Another participant complained of the ‘amount of money' given during the campaign.
"They give 20 000 drams to spend an hour in saunas and only 5000 drams for our votes," he said.
