Levon Ter-Petrosyan isn't participating in the meetings of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) todayl.

During a visit to Shirak province today, leader of "Republic" Party (Hanrapetutyun) Aram Sargsyan congratulated the citizens of Maralik on the occasion of International Workers' Day.

"I regret that today Armenia lacks workers. Citizens of Armenia are forced to work for the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and the coalition. Opposition members are either unemployed or leave the country," said Sargsyan.
According to him, the issue can only be solved through free elections.

"Armenia can't have presidents who serve for life like Lukashenko, Nazarbayev, Karimov or Aliyev or tolerate presidents that give passes to each other. The Armenian people are wise and will definitely make the right choice. All we need is to have the chance to make a choice," said Sargsyan and called on the citizens to vote for the Armenian National Congress (HAK) and HAK candidate, leader of "Democratic Homeland" Party Petros Makeyan at precinct N 36 on May 6.

Leader of the People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan declared that the reason for poverty, corruption and emigration wasn't the global financial-economic crisis, as some try to present. According to him, the reason is the radicalized criminal oligarchic system, which is warranted by the authorities.

Ex-prime minister, leader of "Freedom" Party Hrant Bagratyan announced that Serzh Sargsyan is now part of the billionaires in Armenia. He read points mentioned in Serzh Sargsyan's political platform released before the elections in 2008 and asked whether Sargsyan had done anything.

HAK youth member Babken Urutyan from Maralik announced that the city was dying due to the authorities' actions.

According to him, the branches of the taxing inspectorate, the state register and the cadastre committee had been closed down throughout the past four years.

After the meeting in Maralik, the HAK delegates left for Artik where several children approached Gagik Jhangiryan and asked if there was going to be a concert. Jhangiryan said there wouldn't be a concert. When the children asked why not, Jhangiryan said "Serzh Sargsyan will come and his meeting will be followed by a concert".
