Why didn’t Sargsyan wait for the court’s ruling?
Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan will take a final decision on the demolition of the stands at Mashtots Park tomorrow. This is what the mayor announced, adding: "We will demolish the stands as soon as possible and continue with the renovation."
We remind that during a visit to Mashtots Park today, Serzh Sargsyan suggested that the mayor of Yerevan demolish the stands that were temporarily placed at the park.
Social network users think the stands might be placed at Abovyan Street once again.
Taron Margaryan said those rumors were absurd. "We have already demolished the stands on Abovyan Street and have given those territories to the residents."
On May 10 at 14:00, the Administrative Court will hear the lawsuit that "Heritage" Party deputies have filed against the mayor's decision to place the stands at Mashtots Park. The lawsuit was filed by Zaruhi Postanjyan, Styopa Safaryan, Anahit Bakhshyan, Larisa Alaverdyan, Armen Martirosyan, Ruben Hakobyan and David Badalyan.
The court will most likely return the lawsuit after Serzh Sargsyan's assignment.
Was Serzh Sargsyan's assignment that came before the Administrative Court's hearing legitimate? One of the plaintiffs, deputy Stepan Safaryan had trouble answering this question.
