They waved red flags in central Yerevan
The Communist Party of Armenia today waved red flags on the central streets in Yerevan and announced that only workers with their ideas of Communism could help the country develop.
The Armenian Communists started their festive march today near the statue of Saryan and reached Stepan Shahumyan Square, and that is exactly where the May 1st rally started from. Armenia's number one Communist Ruben Tovmasyan called on the gathered to participate in the May 6 elections and vote only for the Communist Party.
"Vote so that workers and villagers feel that they are not alone and that the Communist Party stands by their side," said Tovmasyan.
Citizens of the provinces also came to Yerevan to participate in the May 1st event.
Among other participants were little "pioneers" with red collars. They had been brought to Yerevan by their Communist grandfathers.
