The second round of negotiations on the facilitation of visa regime and readmission agreements between Armenia and the European Union was held in Brussels on April 26-27. The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

The visa facilitation agreement will ease the procedure of provision of Schengen visas to citizens of the Republic of Armenia. This will apply to Armenian scholars, students, journalists, businessmen, sportsmen, artists and others.
Armenia and EU are negotiating also the readmission agreement, which will regulate the issue of return of citizens residing on the territory of the EU and Armenia without permission.

The parties noted the great progress registered as a result of effective work, stressing that this will allow completing the negotiations in the near future.

The next round of negotiation will take place in Yerevan in June.
