Three Armenian soldiers die in Tavush region

Three Armenian soldiers were killed on the night of April 26 in Armenia's northeastern Tavush province.

According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, at around 04:15 they received a report that three servicemen had received gunshot wounds after a VAZ-2107 vehicle owned by one of them was shelled along the line of contact between the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan. The car was riddled with bullets on the road between two borderline villages in Armenia's northeastern Tavush province.

Two of the wounded soldiers died on the way to hospital in frontier Berd town, while the third died in the hospital.
Traces of firearms were found on the vehicle during the examination of the accident scene.

A criminal case has been filed under Article 104 (parts 2 ad 6) of the Armenian Criminal Code, RA Defense Ministry's press service reports.
