Police to change?
The OSCE and the EU are holding social order maintenance courses for the Police of the Republic of Armenia ahead of the elections.
The OSCE and the EU today summed up the four-week strategic planning course for Armenian police officers.
The goal of the instructive program was to enhance the capabilities of nearly 100 senior, intermediate and junior police officers involved in maintaining social order.
Fifty-five representatives of the fourth special squadron forces of the RA Patrol applied their knowledge in practice during the last week of the course.
The two itineraries on police conduct in social order maintenance, application of force and skills in negotiating prepared with the support of the OSCE last year were used during the course.
The EU-funded course is part of a 1.7 million Euro program aimed at following up on the reinforcement of electoral processes in Armenia that correspond to international standards and is implemented by the OSCE Office in Yerevan.
