RA Prosecutor General receives Medvedev’s award
Russia's Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika, who is on a working visit in Armenia, today gave his Armenian counterpart the Order of Honor awarded by Russian President Dmitri Medvedev.
The two prosecutor generals also signed a number of cooperation programs for 2012-2013 between the two structures of Armenia and Russia.
"This is the best format of legal cooperation we reached with the Russian prosecutor general's office," said Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan.
For his part, Yuri Chaika said that the cooperation between the two countries opens positive perspectives.
"I assure you that we would not have reached effective results without your intervention," said the Russian official.
The cooperation programs aim to prevent the use of the Internet in terrorist actions, curb corruption-related crimes and provide legal assistance to the prosecutorial agencies of the two countries.
