The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun does not seek to turn the May 6 parliamentary elections into revolution.

During a meeting with the residents of Armenia's Ijevan city, ARF candidate Artyusha Shahbazyan urged the locals to ‘go to the polls and perform their duty as citizens without a fight and revolution.'

Wise people, according to the ARF representative, will vote for the party [Dashnaksutyun] that has 122-year-old history, that has always acted for the benefit of people.

The deputy candidate noted that border villages are being emptied but he refrained from naming those guilty.
"If we do not hurry to stop this chaotic situation, Armenia will suffer serious losses in the years to come," he stressed.

Unlike Artyusha Shahbazyan, Armen Rustamyan, another member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, blamed the country's grave situation on the acting authorities.

"They [authorities] are not professional," said Rustamyan. "" I am ridiculed to hear these authorities speak about changes and faith. In fact, these same people killed faith in people."

"We need only 25-30 minutes to topple these authorities," he said meaning the electoral process.
