Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) says he went into politics not to pursue his personal interests but to improve the country's future.

During his meeting with residents of Ayntap village in Ararat marz, BHK leader urged voters to elect ‘by heart' and not by the order of village heads.

"They are forcing you to vote for their parties as they want to save their skin and strengthen their position," said Mr Tsarukyan.

The BHK leader was accompanied by Chairman of the "Solidarity" Party Sargis Avetisyan, who called on his co-villagers to vote for the BHK.

If the authorities are re-elected I assure you that we shall all witness mounting migration with all its negative consequences in the years to come," he said.

After the speeches, the participants of the meeting hurried to Gagik Tsarukyan to address their requests and questions.

In reply to journalists' question to comment on the election campaign, the BHK leader said, "There is tense competition not only between the Republican Party of ARmenia (HHK) and BHK, but between all forces involved in the election race. Each force wants to present its election platform, team and seeks to garner more votes on the election day."
