Watch HAK rally live
The rally of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) finally kicked off at Yerevan's Liberty Square with delay.
In his opening remarks, HAK senior representative Aram Harutyunyan accounted the delay for technical reasons.
A1+'s journalist reports from the grounds that HAK members have placed a small platform at the square, a few steps away from the main stage which is being decorated for a concert.
As soon as Armenia's First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan mounted the rostrum, he was welcomed with warm applause and vociferations "Levon! Levon!"
A woman from the crowd came up to the HAK leader and gave him flowers.
The square is de-energized, which the HAK senior member, chairperson of the Armenian National Movement (HHSh) considered an obstacle posed on HAK's way.
Note that many participants of the rally have difficulty in following the speakers as the platform is placed in an inconvenient place.
