Nobody is safe in the UK Parliament
In the past 10 months, 4 barrels of beer, a bottle of champagne, a Medal of Honor, 10 laptops, 2 Smartphones and a credit card have been stolen from the UK Parliament, reports ITAR-TASS.
Recently at the Westminster Palace, which has been serving as a parliament for the past five centuries now, conducted an inventory of lost items and found that the robbers had also stolen tools for renovating bicycles, several pairs of glasses and decorative compositions made from flowers.
A special parliamentary commission is involved in investigating the robberies and was formed after a protest from Laborist Deputy Keith Bass, who lost his laptop last year.
"I was simply in shock," said the Laborist after being informed about the robberies that had taken place in the past three months.
"It is clear that there is a group of bandits in the Westminster Palace. I hope the police will reveal the culprits. This means that the building has to be protected not only from abroad, but within as well," said Keith Bass.
