Former contender becomes ardent supporter
Hayk Sultanyan, who is running for parliament by the majoritarian ticket, has submitted a withdrawal petition to Territorial Election Commission #35 in Armenia's Shirak Region.
Sultanyan's contender at the constituency is Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) member Samvel Balasanyan.
Hayk Sultanyan is the laboratory director of the Gyumri-based brewery "Gyumri Beer", which belongs to Samvel Balasanyan.
"I have taken a right decision to withdraw my candidacy and support Samvel Balasanyan throughout the campaign," Sultanyan told Yerkir.am
