Man detained in Gyumri murder case
A man has been detained in connection with the death of Karen Yesayan, whose body was found near Mother Armenia statue in Gyumri late on April 12, Gyumri -based GALA TV reports.
Chief of Gyumri Police Varuzhan Shashikyan said the police department was engaged in identifying the detainee.
Karen Yesayan, the would-be son-in-law of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, was found dead in his Mercedes vehicle on Thursday evening with a gunshot wound to his head. According to reports, he was to be engaged with the Gyumri Mayor's daughter on Friday.
