Minister working concurrently
RA Minister of Justice Hrair Tovmasyan says nothing stands in his way of participating in the election campaign of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) for the May 6 parliamentary elections.
"I'm part of a propaganda group and you will soon see me at some precincts," he told "A1+".
Minister Tovmasyan will continue to serve as the Minister of Justice. The Electoral Code gives him that opportunity since it clearly states the list of officials that must be on vacation for propaganda, and the office of the Minister of Justice is not a political office.
"In this stage, I am trying to make sure I can handle the propaganda and my job," said Tovmasyan.
Tovmasyan also touched upon the rumors that the HHK isn't satisfied with his work and is getting ready to dismiss him.
"I'm ready to respond to any press release, but not the messages that start with rumors. Whether they like it or not, the Prime Minister, the head of state and the political team that I am a member of make the final decision."
