NA session postponed due to lack of quorum
Vice-Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov had to postpone today's parliament session due to lack of quorum. The same picture was observed in the National Assembly on Tuesday, April 10.
Besides Eduard Sharmazanov, one could also see former parliament speaker Tigran Torosyan and Republican MP Hamlet Zakaryan at the National Assembly.
According to Article 44 (item 5) of the RA Law "On Rules of Procedure of National Assembly," registration of deputies continues for three hours after which the session can be adjourned due to the lack of quorum.
Talking to A1+ on Tuesday, Mr Sharmazanov considered the absentees a ‘normal phenomenon' explaining it by the start of the election campaign.
