Mayor of Tashir: “It's a provocation”
Mayor of Tashir Nshan Soghoyan today responded to the allegations against him.
"Election candidate Anushavan Nikoghosyan has disseminated a statement online according to which I, Mayor of Tashir Nshan Soghoyan, have hindered the placement of a political advertisement with his portrait in central Tashir. That is inaccurate and, in my opinion, is aimed at gaining political dividends through intrigues during the election campaign," declared Nshan Soghoyan.
He also touched upon the part of the statement related to election candidate in the same precinct, Serzh Sargsyan's ex-chief of staff Karen Karapetyan.
"In relation to the statement that Karen Karapetyan is my friend and is responsible for my actions, I must say that Karapetyan has been busy during the holidays and is totally unaware of the events that are described in the statement. He isn't my friend. If we look at it that way, Karen Karapetyan should be held responsible for the events taking place in Tbilisi since he has many friends in Tbilisi," said Soghoyan.
