Khachatur Sukiasyan denied again
The Administrative Court of Armenia today rejected another application of senior opposition member Khachatur Sukiasyan who demanded that the court annul a decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) whereby he was not included in the party list of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK).
The CEC accounted its decision for a document provided by the Police Passport and Visa Department asserting that Sukiasyan has not been permanently residing in Armenia in the past 5 years, hence cannot be registered as a parliamentary candidate.
As the previous time, the court said that ‘the plaintiff had not disputed the police actions in legal or administrative order.'
