Armenian Veterans Union backs S. Sargsyan
The Armenian Veterans Union will back Serzh Sargsyan during the May 6 parliamentary vote.
During its 5th congress on Friday the Union expressed its support for the ruling Republican Party, summarized the results of the work and presented its future steps
"We suggest adopting a law that will determine the status of war veterans. Three years ago, we made such a proposal to the National Assembly, we were invited to participate in the discussions. I hope that the law will be adopted during the upcoming parliament sitting," said Hamlet Hovsepyan, a deputy of the Armenian Veterans Union.
The Union was established twelve years ago. Today it has 7500 members, 41 structures, with 11 of them stationed in Yerevan.
