Aliyev calls Armenians “Fascists, occupants”
Members of the Euronest Bureau yesterday had a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
Head of the Armenian Delegation to Euronest Vahan Hovhannisyan told "Yerkir Media" that there were unpleasant surprises and that Aliyev didn't even recall any disputed issue.
"He didn't use the term "Nagorno-Karabakh" at all. The European diplomats were moreinterested in the issues regarding restrictions of freedom in Azerbaijan.
However, during today's Plenary Session, Aliyev made startling, aggressive declarations, calling Armenians "Fascists, occupants that forged their cemeteries". The participants of the session are on a break, but we won't let this go unanswered. We are preparing documents and will be disseminating them. We will also touch upon the topic in our speeches.
This was unexpected, but even our European partners were shocked. Everyone was expecting to hear words of gratitude for the Armenian delegation's participation in the session," Vahan Hovhannisyan told "Yerkir Media" in an interview.
