"A1+ still interests people"

Ten years have passed since the closure of A1+, Armenia's only alternative TV station that was taken off the air in the year preceding the 2003 presidential and parliamentary election. But even ten years later, the company continues to receive congratulations from public and political figures and journalists.

"I congratulate you as I am convinced that in our country, as well as in the countries of the former Soviet Union, they try to silence those who have something to say. A1+ still interests large masses of people since it conveys information. In this sense, I understand our authorities who consider every person expressing normal ideas to be an oppositionist. A1+ was taken off the air for this reason. Everything is done in Armenia to ban people from expressing rational ideas," Leader of the New Times Party (NZhK) Aram Karapetyan said in his congratulatory message
