Dismissed Chief of Military Police?
The Ministry of Defense neither confirms nor denies rumors about the dismissal of RA Chief of Military Police, Colonel Armen Sahakyan.
Acting press secretary of the Ministry of Defense Mushegh Aghekyan told "A1+" that Serzh Sargsyan had to issue a decree, after which there would be commentary from the presidential residence. However, Serzh Sargsyan's press speaker Armen Arzumanyan didn't answer any phone calls.
Rumor has it that Chief of the Military Police of Yerevan Ruben Nersisyan has also been dismissed.
The reason was the brutal beating of a soldier from Sevan that had taken place at the Military Police headquarters.
