Levon Ter-Petrosyan addresses ralliers
At a rally of Armenian National Congress (HAK) Armenia's First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan said the ANK is the only forces in Armenia that does not need a pre-election program. In the recent years the opposition bloc has been able to unmask the kleptocratic regime and offer a well-grounded alternative for the country's socio-economic development.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan underlined that during its 4-year-long activities the HAK proved to be a real counterbalance to the ruling regime.
The HAK leader briefed the ralliers on the key provisions of HAK election program, as well as the social economic breakdown.
On entering parliament the HAK will, as a radical opposition, will vote against all bills if its objections and proposals are ignored.
Further, Levon Ter-Petrosyan stressed that the HAK had carried out great work to elaborate alternative programs of political and social reforms and present them to the public. In its program the HAK envisages the following,
- 100 steps. A socio-economic policy reform program
- Basic provisions of the healthcare policy
- A pension reform program
- A long-term comprehensive education program
- A cultural manifesto
- An election process reform platform
- A national environmental safety concept
- A long-term higher education and scientific development program
- A judicial reform concept
- An industrial development program
- Urgent agricultural development measures
The rally was followed by a traditional march through the central streets of the Armenian capital.
