Kh. Sukiasyan pledges to do his utmost
Today Armenia needs a counterpoise and that counterbalance is the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), former MP Khachatur Sukiasyan announced at Yerevan's Liberty Square on Friday.
The senior opposition member thinks that the escalating migration can be averted once the opposition alliance comes to power.
"Whether I participate in the elections or not, I shall do my utmost to fulfill these reforms," said Mr Sukiasyan.
On Wednesday, the Territorial Election Commission No.10 refused to register pro-opposition tycoon and ex-member of Parliament Khachatur Sukiasyan as a deputy candidate. Instead, the TEC registered Sukiasyan's brother, Saribek Sukiasyan, in the same constituency as a candidate for the May 6 parliamentary elections.
