“S. Sargsyan confuses political figure with conjurer”
Speaking to the supporters of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikol Pashinyan dwelt on the electoral list of the ruling Republican Party (HHK).
He stressed that Serzh Sargsyan who is leading the HHK list, has confused the profession of a political figure with that of a conjurer.
"By using different tricks conjurers attempt to assure viewers that they have turned the mouse inside а cylinder into a dhol (double-headed drum)," said Pashinyan.
"Serzh Sargsyan grandiloquent statements that business should not be mixed with politics are nothing but idle talk. Look at the majoritarian list of the Republican Party and you will find a lot of oligarchs there, including Ruben Hayrapetyan (Nemets Rubo), Mher Sedrakyan (Tokhmakhi Mher), Samvel Alexanyan (Lfik Samo) and many others who are also included on the HHK party list. A decent person will be ashamed to hear these names, while Serzh Sargsyan is proud of them," he said.
Nikol Pashinyan is running for a parliament seat in Constituency N7, where his rival is Republican MP, businessman Samvel Alexanyan.
Today, Pashinyan reminded that he had already invited Alexanyan to a TV debate and said he was still ready to talk to him before cameras.
"During the last ten years, Mr Alexanyan has not raised any question in the National Assembly and has been absent from most sessions. Alexanyan's regular absence shows that he suffers from a chronic disease. I am going to help residents of Malatia-Sebastia community to get rid of that MP," Nikol Pashinyan said.
