Babukhanyan supports HHK in everything
Hayk Babukhanyan, who is included on the party-list of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), cannot say how many votes his Constitutional Law Union (SIM) can garner for the HHK during the May 6 parliamentary elections.
"Only God knows it," the SIM leader told reporters on Friday.
However, he believes that the SIM would be able to overcome the 5 percent threshold, if the party ran in the elections separately.
Mr Babukhanyan is confident that this time Armenia will hold unprecedented free and fair elections as was promised by Serzh Sargsyan. On the other hand, he continues hearing allegations about pending election fraud from the opposition, even from the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).
For the present, the SIM leader does not think about his affiliation with the HHK though he supports Serzh Sargsyan's programs.
Babukhanyan says the opposition's rally set for March 30 is illegal while distribution of party membership cards by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is legal.
