Ambassador granted Great Cross Medal

By the decree of President of the Argentine Republic Christina Fernandes de Kirchner, RA Ambassador to Argentina Vladimir Karmirshalyan has been awarded the Great Cross Medal of the Liberator San Martin. The Medal is the highest state award granted to diplomats abroad.

The award was handed to the RA Ambassador by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Eduardo Antonio Zuayin during the solemn ceremony held at the San Martin Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina. In his speech, Zuayin highly appreciated Vladimir Karmirshalyan's contribution to the development and deepening of mutually beneficial relations between Argentina and Armenia and particularly attached importance to the implementation of several high-level reciprocal visits and the signing of significant interstate agreements.

In his speech, Ambassador Vladimir Karmirshalyan expressed gratitude for the award and mentioned that he was accepted the high state award as appreciation of the excellent relations between Armenia and Argentina and the centuries-old friendship between the two nations.

The solemn ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, members of the diplomatic corpus accredited to Buenos Aires and leaders of Argentinean-Armenian community structures.

Ambassador Vladimir Karmirshalyan will soon end his diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires and will return to Yerevan.
