The opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) is preparing for its recurrent rally to be held in Yerevan's Liberty Square on March 30, said Arman Musinyan, a spokesman for Armenia's First President and HAK Leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

"The rally will differ from the previous ones in a number of ways. Firstly, we have the pre-election period. Secondly, the majoritarian candidates put up by the opposition alliance also partook in the organization of the meeting," said Musinyan.

The HAK representative does not exclude that HAK's candidates running in single-mandate constituencies may deliver speeches during the rally.

"The speeches will outline the main accents we are going to put during the election campaign," he said.

According to the HAK member, the authorities are again taking measures to prevent people from attending the opposition's rally; they are applying the same ‘methods,' visiting homes and talking people around.

"The main obstacles are usually created on the day of rallies. Therefore, we can draw conclusions about the leadership's behaviour on Friday," said Mr Musinyan.
