Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received the delegation led by Head of the Delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Armenia Mark Horton. During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the main directions of Armenia's economic policy and the perspectives of economic development.

Mark Horton presented the procedure of the IMF's "Extended Funding" and "Extended Crediting" quarterly program and the results of the IMF mission's visit to Armenia.

Horton mentioned that the IMF is ready to provide Armenia with assistance in confronting challenges in the future.

"We are pleased to see that the executive of the program is highly appreciated. In the long run, our major macroeconomic objective is to improve the private investments indicator, and the new policy on manufacturing will contribute to that," said Tigran Sargsyan.

The interlocutors also discussed a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation, reports the RA Government's press service.
