Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan has responded to the report of the Ombudsman's Office on his Facebook page.

"The Ombudsman's Office has released a report on the protection of human rights in Armenia, and a part of it is devoted to the protection of rights in the spheres of education and science. Some of the issues raised in the report have been solved in the past couple of years or are in the process of being solved, and the "achievements" section of the report is evidence of that (and that list of achievements can go on and on).

Unfortunately, there are other issues facing education and science in Armenia still need to be solved, and for that our ministry has to have public support and the potential.

The reflection upon the field of education in the Ombudsman's Office report is not only legal, but meaningful as well. It was interesting for us to read the opinions expressed by non-professionals. The ministry is preparing its detailed reflection upon the issues mentioned in the report and will release it soon," said Ashotyan.
