UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has assessed the situation in Syria as "inadmissible and unacceptable".

During the visit to Indonesia, the Secretary General called on the international community to come together and get involved in the solution to the conflict in Syria, reports Franse Press agency.

"The state of Syria has become one of the most serious problems concerning the international community. We can't lost a minute. Every minute and every hour lost means new deaths," said Ban Ki-Moon.

Today, the UN Security Council will revise the Resolution on Syria in which there are proposals for additional steps to punish Damascus.

According to Franse Press, the resolution demands that the Syrian government and opposition immediately implement the plan proposed by UN Ambassador Kofi Anan, who has proposed mechanisms for controlling the situation in Syria.
