Will Hmayak Hovhannisyan be included in BHK list?
Political scientist Hmayak Hovhannisyan has another two days to decide whether he wants to be included on the electoral list of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) or not.
"I attended a BHK congress. Surely, we have ideological similarities. I have given my prior consent," Mr Hovhannisyan told journalists on March 19.
At present, he is studying the material of the congress and the pre-election moods.
"We are speaking about elections and even if you are a freelance MP you have certain obligations and bear responsibility for the whole team. This is a political team after all," said the president of the Union of Political Scientists.
"Anyway, I am going to preserve the image of a non-partisan political figure," he said in a little while.
Samvel Harutyunyan who is running by the majoritarian system at constituency N37 is convinced he will become elected to parliament.
"Thanks to my pre-election campaign, I shall make most of the people vote for me at the constituency," said the ex-mayor of Goris, who was once affiliated with the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK).
Mr Harutyunyan does not rule out election fruad since he knows that the leopard cannot change its spots.
