Statement of the "MI-96" Party on the activities of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) ahead of the elections

"The HAK is still the real political force that can counterattack the current illegitimate authorities.
That is unquestionably first and foremost due to the hard and dedicated work that the First President has been carrying out since 2007, and it is everyone's duty to continue with that together.

That is the reason why we are concerned and take responsibility for each mistake that we believe can hurt the Congress's reputation and activities, especially at such turning points like the state elections.

It is a painful fact that we didn't fully lead the struggle against the illegitimate government, and that further unleashed the government and has an essential impact on electoral processes.

The fact that we continue not to focus on factors that can have an essential impact on the results of the elections is as painful. Some of those factors are

1. The illegitimate use of the Electoral Code on the part of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK),
2. Appropriation of power on the part of the HHK,
3. The charities of political parties,
4. The activities of illegally registered political parties in the elections,
5. The obscene support of certain European organizations to the illegal actions of the HHK.

Under these conditions, even the "star-studded" list won't help the HAK, even to overcome the threshold set by the parliament, but the quality of the pre-electoral list concerns us and we voice hope that the public presentation of that will be more heard for the HAK leader, particularly

1. The First President should not run as a candidate in the parliamentary elections,
2. The persons who have held political and discretionary posts in the governments that were established as a result of falsified elections in 1995-2008 should not hold spots on the list of 1-30,
3. The same goes for those who were prominent figures of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) in 1992-1997,
4. Neither member of the Central Electoral Commissions for the falsified elections in 1995-2008 should hold a spot on the list in general,
5. The "first lady" of the List of the HAK should have a high reputation among the women of Armenia.

We declare that the HAK leader, recalling the year 1995 and the year 1996, should do everything possible to refrain from sentimentality. This is not that moment...We are concerned about the Congress and the citizens of Armenia."
