Environmentalists spent first night at Mashtots Park
About 27 environmental activists spent the night in a tent pitched at Mashtots Park in Yerevan after declaring a round-the-clock sit-in on Tuesday.
They slept in the tent in turn and welcomed the morning with a few police officers who stayed at the park to 'keep an eye on' the activists.
In the morning, Heritage MP Anahit Bakhshyan visited the environmentalists.
I am seriously concerned about these children who spent a cold night at the park but their optimistic perseverance is inspiring,» the Heritage MP told A1+.
Anahit Bakhshyan confessed that she could not stay over at the park for 'she might catch a cold and leave her work unfinshed.'
She assured us that even the heated pre-election race would not prevent her party from supporting the environmental activists.
