Government to discuss trade stands issue
The government will authorize the Mayor of Yerevan to sign "Agreements laying down the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the government and the acquirer in the process of alienation of privatization in the area of Arami, Buzand and Koghbatsi Streets in Yerevan" with EMC and Glendale Hills closed joint-stock companies and Serge-Agopig-Der-Sahaguian Ltd on behalf of the Republic of Armenia. This is what the government reports on its official website and informs that the draft will be discussed during the government's session on March 15.
The draft presented by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan also touches upon the situation at Mashtots Park.
Within no later than three years after the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on recognizing the area at Arami, Buzand and Koghbatsi Streets as an area of supreme public interest, the pavilions placed by Kentron-Kanachapatum CJSC of Yerevan at the park located at 22/1 Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan are subject to demolition to ensure the implementation of the "Old Yerevan" urban development program.
The trade stands placed at Mashtots Park will be demolished within three years.
