Parliamentary elections to be held in Syria
On March 13, President of Syria Bashar Al-Asad decided to hold parliamentary elections on May 7, reports Izvestni.
According to the new Constitution passed on February 27, representatives of both ruling and oppositional political parties will participate in the elections.
We remind that the conflict that caused uproar against Asad's regime left more than 8,000 dead. Asad accuses the terrorists and foreign powers, while the opposition members demand Asad's resignation.
Based on the UN's statistics, 230,000 people have already left Syria.
