Sarkozy has pledged
President of France Nikola Sarkozy last evening affirmed his intention to present a new bill criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial.
"France is on your side. Denial is not an opinion. It is an offense against the memory of the victims. It is a threat to all nations and an intolerable resistance to a country's values. Despite the decision of the Constitutional Council, my intention remains unchanged. The Armenian community, like the other communities, has the right to be protected by the law in case of denial," said Sarkozy.
